Elon Musk blames Twitter outage on “massive cyberattack”


X Suffers Outage on a Key NFL Offseason Day

For much of Monday—the busiest NFL offseason day for transactions—X (formerly Twitter) was down. It’s back up now, but for how long remains uncertain.

So, what happened?

According to Variety, X owner Elon Musk addressed the issue when the platform was briefly operational, stating:

“There was (still is) a massive cyberattacks aginest X

. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing …”

If a cyberattack was responsible, it was effective. The outage severely disrupted NFL news updates on one of the most crucial days of the year for fans and insiders alike.
