Zelenskyy Adopts Trump’s Rhetoric
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has started using the "language of Trump," a shift that political analyst Kiron Skinner calls "truly remarkable."
Democrat Escorted Out for Disrupting Trump’s Speech
Democratic Rep. Al Green was removed from the House chamber after loudly interrupting Trump’s speech and waving his cane.
Speaker Mike Johnson warned lawmakers to "restore decorum," eventually ordering security to escort Green out.
Afterward, Green defended his actions, saying he was protesting Trump’s proposed Medicaid cuts:
"I was making it clear to the president that he has no mandate to cut Medicaid."
Other Protests:
- Rep. Melanie Stansbury held a sign reading "This is not normal" before a Republican lawmaker grabbed and discarded it.
- Former Harris advisor Ian Sams warned Democrats before the speech not to disrupt it, fearing it would backfire politically.
Despite protests, Trump’s address was widely praised among Republicans and dominated political discussion.
