Michelle Trachtenberg dead at 39 — former ‘Gossip Girl,’ ‘Harriet the Spy’ star recently underwent liver transplant

Michelle Trachtenberg, the former child star known for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, has passed away at the age of 39, sources told The Post.

According to sources, Trachtenberg was discovered by her mother around 8 a.m. on Wednesday at One Columbus Place, a luxury high-rise in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood.

The actress had undergone a liver transplant within the past year, and her body may have rejected the organ. Sources indicate she died of natural causes.
